The Sagra dei Chisciöi is one of
the most anticipated food events of the summer in Tirano. Chisciöi are a local
speciality made from a batter of buckwheat flour, mature cheese, lard or butter
and a drop of Grappa, which is pan-fried like fritters.
The festival, from August 2nd to 4th, is held in
the Parco degli Olmi
and, in addition to chisciöi, participants can enjoy Valtellina cheeses and bresaola cured beef with a
glass of fine Valtellina wine.
