In order to drive to Donadivo, you must obtain a permit that can be purchased at the café-bar in the village of Gordona. Take the consortium road to Donadivo, where the trail begins. There is a large square where you can leave your car. The beginning of the mule track is easy to find. The trail starts with a climb along a lovely stone path that leads into the woods. The route climbs steadily from Donadivo (750 m) to Alpe Orlo (1,165 m) and finally Alpe Cermine (1,350 m). It crosses the mountain following a path on the slope and then reaches the summit, where there is a small white church with a circular floor plan that marks your arrival at Alpe Cima. The altitude here is just under 1,900 metres.
