Aprica - 1180 m s.l.m.
A famous resort for both summer and winter, Aprica is situated on the homonymous pass that connects two different valleys, Valtellina and Valcamonica.
It is a very well known place among people who love mountains and is provided with hotels, residences, apartments, campsites and all kind of winter facilities.
Oriental gate of the Orobie Valtellinesi Park, Aprica has different protected areas, such as the Pian di Gembro Nature Reserve, a precious botanical treasure and the Alpine Eco-fauna Observatory, a vast area where visitors can admire the plants and the animals of the Park, like a beautiful pair of bears.
Aprica offers a ski area that goes from an altitude of 1200 to 2300 metres, 50 km of ski slopes that arrive directly in the village and modern ski lifts. For cross-country and snowshoes lovers there are suggestive trails within the Pian di Gembro Nature Reserve.
Not to miss the churches of Assunta and S. Pietro, and the murals of the historical quarters realized by the contemporary painter Alcide Pancot.
