CASPOGGIO
Caspoggio, along with Chiesa and Lanzada, constitutes the tourist area called Valmalenco.
Known for the alpine skiing competitions organized in winter, it offers ski lifts that go up to 2200 m., 20 km of ski slopes suited also for expert skiers and an ice-skating ring. In summer its naturalistic, historical and ethnographical background is very appreciated.
Not to miss the parish church of San Rocco, the church of S. Elisabetta (XVII c.) and, in the old town centre, the “truna”, a characteristic covered passage of 25 m.
Apart from tourist activities, the economy of the village is based on industry.
