Postalesio - 516 m s.l.m.
Postalesio is a village with different quarters that lies at the foot of Pizzo Bello, near the mouth of the Caldenno river. It is famous for the presence of the “Pyramids of Postalesio Nature Reserve” where there is a group of seven interesting pyramids, topped by massive boulders. The Reserve is located at Prato (743 m).
The village develops around the parish church of S. Antonio Abate that preserves eighteenth-century frescos and an altar by Cesare Ligari. In the part called “S. Martino” stands the homonymous church built in 1250. Inside there is a carved, gilt and painted altarpiece of the sixteenth century. Around Postalesio there are different pastures: Pra Leone (1028 m.), Ca Moroni (832 m.), Pra Montesanto (1027 m.) and Alpe Colina (1947 m.) with the homonymous lake. The economy of the village is based on agriculture and cattle-breeding. Here there is the most important cooperative of the province for the milk distribution and the production of butter and typical cheeses.
