Valtellina is the right place for those who like to experiment new emotions on vacation offering a lot of winter sports, from the fast ice skating as the short track champion on the runway in Bormio and Chiavenna.
A piece of Alaska will be found in Valdidentro thanks to the local sleddog school "HuskY Village" that offers the opportunity to adults and children to try the emotion of a «musher», as known the conductor of a sledge trailed by the huskies – as the famous Balto – for a ride through woods and snow.
In Valtellina is possible to enjoy even a simple walk along snowy paths or a «ciaspolata», using «ciaspole» a typical kind of racket by snow, tracking deer’s paths or try to climb icy falls and the most beautiful peaks, from the Bernina to Ortles Cevedale Group to the Valmasino. From the top of the mountains back to the bottom with canoyning or exploring caves, a mix from speleology, extreme sport, science and pure amusement.
No season sport is considered mountain bike, in winter enjoying wild rides along earthworks covered by a softly coat of snow.
