Typical tasting products, an area of great beauty, the charm of a valley that preserves its ancient heart, old atmospheres with an invaluable heritage of history, culture and traditions: all these elements are on stage at the provincial Faircentre of Morbegno. On the eve of the hundredth anniversary of history, the cheese skills have become a window that represent and valorize through various local authorities the whole food field but also the handicraft and the tourist offer of a valley rich in opportunities.
In the central square of flavours, that changes every year, there is the representation of the five areas of the Province with a reproduction of ancient villages and panoramic views, cheese, wine, bresaola (the typical cured meat of Valtellina), apples, pizzoccheri (rustic noodles made from buckwheat fluor) and honey. The Bitto exhibition highlights also the handicraft of the Province in a typical village marked out by ancient workshops where some masters devote themselves to the work transmitted through centuries.
At children’s disposal didactic and interactive activities, sensory workshops, baby parking and a journey into the old simple games, for a plunge into the memory that will involve even the most nostalgic people.
