Don't miss the opportunity to visit the three Slow Cities in Valtellina, it will be a memorable experience!
The word "slow" is used in contrast with the "fast" lifestyle that characterizes the big cities.
The Slow Cities common goal is to look ahead without forgetting the traditions, the culture, the pleasures of the table and the good values. The Slow Cities also protect their historical, artistic and natural features where the man is still the protagonist of the slow course of the seasons.
The Cittaslow Association is an international network that includes little and medium towns all over the world. The Association was born in 1998 thanks to the mayors of 4 Italian cities (Bra, Greve in Chianti, Orvieto and Positano) and to the Slow Food Association (a well-known international organization that defends and promotes the features of the local food). The Cittaslow Association has a precious and ambitious aim: to increase the value of the cities of good living.
Today the certified Slow Cities in Italy are about twenty and three of them are in Valtellina: Chiavenna, Teglio and Tirano.
Don’t miss the opportunity to visit these Slow Cities, it will be a memorable experience!
