A non-competitive event with a focus on enjoyment rather
than emptying the tank.
Now in
its second year, the Duomo–Stelvio sees riders depart from the iconic cathedral
– the Duomo – in the centre of Milan and ride all the way up and into
Valtellina, where the route follows the traffic-free Sentiero Valtellina before
reaching the foot of the mythical Passo dello Stelvio and the Cima Coppi finish
line at the top as the sun is setting.
No
walk in the park, this experience will leave lasting memories as an epic but
stunning challenge of 230 km with 3,400 metres of climbing. For those who
complete it, you’ll enter the history books as a noble Sovrano dello Stelvio,
taking home a medal to prove it.
INDIVIDUAL (riding the entire route unsupported)
RELAY (each team is made up of three riders of any permissible age, with
at least one woman. Teams will have a follower car that the three riders will
take turns driving)
“MARATHON CIMA COPPI” (solo, relays) is 230Km long with an elevation of +3400Mt.
“MARATHON” (only solo) is 208Km long with an elevation of +1850Mt.
