Valtellina’s waterways are not only beautiful – they also offer
fun and pure adrenalin!
Rafting, canoeing and hydrospeeding: choose the level of adrenalin to suit
you. Different areas offer different activities. In the gorges of Val
Bodengo, in Valchiavenna, canyoning enthusiasts will be in heaven, while Novate
Mezzola, on the border between the provinces of Sondrio and Lecco, offers
canoeing and kitesurfing.
There are even water sport opportunities in the mountains: in Livigno, at 1,816
m above sea level, you can cross the lake in a kayak, boat or paddleboat,
stopping at the floating raft to soak up the sun or take pictures.
Rafting
would have to be one of the most exhilarating sports ever.! The Adda
river, one of the longest in Italy and frequently used as a venue for national
and international events, offers canoeing and rafting activities for the whole
family. Experts will want to experience the adrenalin rush generated by the
rapids, while families and the less adventurous can enjoy something quieter on
easier but equally picturesque sections.
There are no particular skills
required. An instructor will provide all the necessary information so that all
you have to do is climb into the rafts and discover a lesser-known Valtellina –
seen from the water!
