The main Alpine passes closed to car traffic
First conceived six years ago by ERSAF, who oversee the Stelvio National Park within Lombardy, the concept of Enjoy Stelvio National Park is all about uniting sport and nature. This non-competitive initiative revolves around designated days on the calendar in which the park’s most jaw-dropping and iconic roads are reserved exclusively for non-motorised traffic. It turns the region into a playground for not only those who love sport but also those who want to experience the joy and tranquillity of climbing such stunning passes surrounded by unforgettable landscapes.
As the initiative has rapidly grown in popularity and added more roads to its portfolio, the original Enjoy concept has evolved into what’s now being called Enjoy Stelvio Valtellina.
Names such as Valchiavenna’s Passo Spluga, Livigno's Passo Forcola, Morbegno’s Passo San Marco (from both sides) and Valmalenco’s awe-inspiring climb to Campo Moro will be added to the already iconic Stelvio National Park passes, which include the Stelvio, Gavia, Mortirolo and Cancano which extends this initiative throughout the entire province of Sondrio.
