NOVA Eroica Switzerland in Valposchiavo will be one of the major new additions to the NOVA Eroica experience program for 2026. This unique Alpine Gravel event alternates timed sections with free-paced sections, offering the perfect balance between competitive spirit and conviviality.

The event is part of the NOVA Eroica circuit, a format created to celebrate Eroica-style cycling on a mix of dirt and asphalt trails, suitable for gravel bikes, modern road bikes, and cyclocross. The spirit of the event encourages participation from amateur cyclists and enthusiasts of all ages, offering routes that combine effort, scenery, and sharing. What makes it special is the authentically Alpine character of its routes: trails to be experienced with the same courage, respect, and sense of freedom as those who inhabit these mountains and care for them every day.

Long Route Contrabbando: 120 km - 3100m elevation
A challenge for experienced cyclists, on a varied route with alpine gradients. Climb to the upper edge of the forest before crossing over – like the smugglers of old – into the heroic vineyards of Valtellina. The long final climb is made easier by the UNESCO Viaduct.

Medium route GranPanoramica Selva: 80km - 2000m elevation
Gentle, challenging ups and downs on scenic dirt roads, among centuries-old fir forests. The snow-capped peaks of the Alps in the background.

Short route Fondovalle Bio: 50km - 900m elevation
A timeless bike ride in good company through fields of flowering wheat and extensive plantations of medicinal herbs, cultivated organically. Finally, the reflections of Lake Poschiavo.
