the riverside promenade, from the wooden bridge in front of the ‘Alla Gran
Baita’ residence.
FINISH: Via Brenta
CLIMBING: approx. 200 m

TARGET: easy, beginner-friendly
The
route begins with a gradual climb from the centre of Madesimo through the trees
then out onto the sun-drenched plateau of Alpe Andossi; once
you reach Mottaccio, start your descent along the mellow hairpins back to
Madesimo.
This
route begins in Isola with a steep climb on an old mule track to the Passo
Baldiscio for an undulating, varied circuit with ups and downs in Ca Raseri.
Follow the forest on your way back to the village and admire glimpses of the
historic Via Spluga.
These
routes are not recommended without suitable snowshoes.
