Alpe Culino

A family-friendly walk to discover life on an Alpine pasture

More of a stroll than a strenuous hike, this Val Gerola route gives you a front row view of life on an Alpine pasture, including the milking of the cows and the preparation of the local Bitto cheese inside one of the characteristic huts called calecc. If you’re feeling energetic, add on the Cima Rosetta at 2,142 metres of elevation, reachable from either Baita del Prato or Baita Culino.
