Located within the province of Sondrio, Valle del
Livrio has become a hotspot—and rightly so. Easily one of the most
characteristic, it’s a rural heaven that buzzes with clusters of ancient,
crumbling old houses set amongst deep forests, which are traversable on ancient
mule tracks positioned under important mountain peaks with a stunning, wild
backdrop.
Pizzo Meriggio is a must for ski mountaineering in
winter, while come summer, the shimmering waters of Lago della Casera and the
smaller Laghetti delle Zocche are the biggest draw for hikers.
