Set in
the nature reserve of the same name, Pian di Gembro has a fabulous 3.5 km
circuit that cuts through the forest at an altitude of 1,352 to 1,424 m.s.l,
often opening up to reveal expansive views over the surrounding snow-capped
mountains. Just 4 km from Aprica, this place glides with the very best of them
– it’s classic for the entire loop, with skating possible along most of it.
Another
must-ski is the seriously pretty high-altitude track at Trivigno (1,800 metres
above sea level), a real paradise for Nordic skiers. Please note: the track in Trivigno will be closed during the 2024/2025 winter season
With nothing-short-of-spectacular views over the Adamello
mountain range, cross-country skiers can enjoy this 3km-plus track as it winds
through the trees. Easily accessible from the road, this not-too-testing
circuit lets everyone in on the action, while still providing a great training
loop for experts.
