Cross-country skiing in Valmalenco

Lago Palù takes pride in its natural tracks that wind for kilometres around this scenic, sun-blessed plateau at 2,000 metres. Further down, explore the 20 km San Giuseppe loop or Lanzada’s illuminated 1.5 km circuit offering night skiing.

To reach the Lago Palù’s serene 7km of cross-country ski tracks, jump on the Snow Eagle cable car from Chiesa in Valmalenco or take the chairlift from San Giuseppe. Those new to skinny-skiing are better off avoiding this challenging terrain; the downhill gradients towards Lago Palù are more suited to experienced skiers.

Just a few kilometres further on from Chiesa in Valmalenco, San Giuseppe has a great Nordic network that you can reach by car, following the signs for the Isola sports centre. Various tracks covering 20 km let everyone in on the action; evenly split to satisfy amateurs and experts alike.
