Bormio: arrival of the 17th stage of the Giro

On the occasion of the 108th Giro d'Italia, scheduled from 9 May to 1 June 2025, Valtellina confirms itself once again as a major protagonist of the race with the arrival of the 17th stage in Bormio.

Giro d'italia 2025

The stage from San Michele all’Adige (Trento) to Bormio is scheduled for May 28, a 154 km route among the most interesting and difficult of the entire competition with the ascent of the Tonale and Mortirolo passes.
The stage will begin with a false flat climb along the Val di Non and Val di Sole, before tackling the classic climb to the Tonale Pass, the summit at 1882 metres and the descent towards Ponte di Legno and then Monno. From here the second climb of the day towards the Mortirolo Pass with its 13 kilometres and an average gradient of 7.6% will challenge the cyclists hard until the descent towards Grosio which is equally not obvious and quite difficult.

Show guaranteed also along the last kilometers towards Bormio, with the Motte climb a few kilometers from the finish line in Bormio. On Thursday 29 May the Giro d'Italia will restart with the 18th stage from Morbegno, towards Cesano Maderno.
