The route links the valley of Livigno to the Alta Valposchiavo in Canton Grisons (CH), the Passo del Bernina and the solitary Val del Fieno. Then some paved climbs and descents close this tour in presence of traffic. The itinerary is long and for this reason has to be faced with peace of mind while going south through the length of the valley of Livigno and enjoying its beauties on the cycle path running along Spöl River. A long dirt stretch leads to Passo della Forcola and then a paved road takes us to the plain of Passo del Bernina. From here on we ride only on trails and dirt roads going downhill at first and meeting the Bernina Express of the Rhaetian Railway and then uphill among the pastures through Val del Fieno up to Passo della Stretta. On our way back we have to run on the quick narrow trail that joins the uphill route to Livigno again.
