This is a fairly short route with very little difference in altitude. The first 6 kilometres are on the level with a few short climbs, while the second part is much harder with an average gradient of 12% and long steep bits of more than 15%: medium/high pedal assist is necessary here. From the start in Cancano, you pedal around the lake of the same name to Ristoro San Giacomo. A little further on, take the turnoff to the left up Val Pettini along a rough track, part of it loose and gradually getting steeper with a sheer drop. After 2 kilometres of hard work, you suddenly come out on the enchanting, luxuriant plain at the confluence of four valleys, the meadows where the mountain pasture of Trela sits, with a holiday farmhouse.
