The
Ponte Tibetano of the Caurga della Rabbiosa (Rabbiosa gorge), which was
declared a natural monument by Regione Lombardia in 2002, spans a deep canyon
with sheer vertical sides, through which the Rabbiosa mountain river runs.
Dedicated to former local San Luigi Guanella who
hails from Fraciscio, a small village in the district of Campodolcino, the
bridge is 45 metres high and 70 metres across. It forms part of the 120 km
waymarked hiking route called the Sui passi di Don Guanella (In the
footsteps of Don Guanella).
After visiting the Tibetan bridge over the Rabbiosa gorge, consider
exploring other nearby suspension bridges, such as the Passerella sulle
Cassandre in Sondrio and the Ponte nel Cielo (Sky Bridge) in Val Tartano: https://www.valtellina.it/en/tour-of-valtellina-bridges-and-walkways
