A landmark
event for Valtellina each autumn, the Mostra del Bitto has now reached its
117th edition and continues to champion Bitto, Valtellina’s local cheese that’s
produced on these very mountainsides.
The event serves as a platform to highlight,
sample and sell the best Bitto produced during the summer. Now well over a
century since it began, the event has taken on the responsibility of elevating
all the region’s artisan production, DOP certified products, and traditional
recipes.
