Sondalo offers the Cornàt Festival, an event that allows you to discover one of the typical products of the local cuisine.
Cornàt is a type of focaccia, prepared with simple products based on flour and water with the addition of other ingredients based on the type of sweet or savory cornàt: potatoes, cheese, vegetables, apples, sugar... it is a very "poor" dish that in the past replaced bread; it was often eaten soaked in milk.
The salted version where mashed potatoes or diced cheese are added, can be combined with the typical cured meats of Valtellina.
