Into Val Gerola along the Orobic slope above Morbegno. The uphill part is tarmacked with good gradients that allow for use of low pedal assist. After riding along the provincial road in the valley to Rasura, just past the last houses there is a right-hand turn that soon meets up with the road up to the left towards the mountain refuges (Via Larice). Three hairpins and a straight stretch then lead to two right-hand turns. Straight through the wood, staying on the main road, which finally becomes a rough compact track before it reaches the Rifugio Bar Bianco. Fitter riders with technical expertise can continue along the trail to Lake Culino and Cima della Rosetta.
