Into Val Gerola along the Orobic slope above Morbegno. The uphill part is tarmacked with good gradients that call for low pedal assist. Follow the provincial road in the valley to Rasura to just past the last houses. Turn right and you will soon meet up with the road up to the left towards the mountain refuges (Via Larice). Three more hairpins and a straight bit and then take the second right to Alpe Tagliate. Straight on leads you to the Rifugio Bar Bianco (route no. 23). You will come to Rifugio della Corte after a couple of steep concrete hairpins. From the mountain refuge you have views over the two Bitto valleys. The rough track continues to the right and soon becomes a wide trail, only for experts as it develops steep up and downhill parts and a few hard stretches that lead to Alpe Tagliata and Bagni dell’Orso (route no. 20).
