ALPINE FAUNA OBSERVATORY, APRICA

Alongside two brown bears, you’ll spot deer, ibex and birds of prey – both diurnal and nocturnal – at this small but immersive wildlife reserve, introducing you to the typical residents of the Orobic Alps.

Visits to the Osservatorio Eco-Faunistico in Aprica are available by guided tour only and must be booked in advance.

WALK WITH ALPACAS

Gentle, curious and surprisingly calming, alpacas make delightful companions for a family hike.

Dog sledding

Yep, even in summer! In Valdidentro (Alta Valtellina), you can experience the thrill of dog sledding all year-round.
Once introduced to the husky and sledges, those aged 13 and up can drive their own team, while children aged 3–12 will ride safely in a sled that’s handled by professional instructors.
