Enjoy all the goodness of Alpine milk at the Latteria di Livigno
factory is a must. You’ll learn how local milk products are produced on a tour
of the factory that includes tastings. The Latteria also has a large terrace
and café and its museum features a range of old-time farm equipment.
A visit to the Latteria will broaden your knowledge of local rural traditions, provide an introduction to the production process and conclude with tastings of a whole range of dairy produce, from milk to yoghurt, cheese, butter and ice cream made whey. The authentic quality of the products is the fruit of summer grazing in Alpine pasture and a diet of selected feed and forage, daily analysis of the milk and strict processing protocols.
The Latteria di Livigno offers audio-guide tours in three languages.
Large windows give on to the factory and cellars, and visitors can participate
in some stages of the production process. The tour ends with a small tasting of
artisan products and the chance to visit a small museum that offers an insight
into local traditions
