 SKI AREA VALTELLINA
The Valtellina ski area is formed by four large skiing areas. Alta Valtellina, Aprica Val Malenco , Val Chiavenna. A territory full of localities which can boast of international fame, Livingo ; Bormio; Santa Caterina Valfurva, Madesimo, Chiesa Valmalenco, Aprica and Valgerola, many names for endless descents down the 400k.m perfectly cared for ski-slopes. For the lovers of snowboarding there are many specially equipped spaces and snow parks equally so for cross country skiers with over 200k.m of tracks. There are numerous resting points and eating places on the slopes.. 50 equipment hire centres29 ski-schools. All this makes up what Valtellina skiing offers.
In Valtellina there is the possibility to ski all year round on the splendid slopes of the Stelvio, which has always been "The Skiing University". Many important ski champions prepare here from May to November, not to mention the down hill enthusiasts who even in summer don't want to renounce snow.
The ski lifts merit a mention of there own, due to the considerable investments made in the last few years, a guaranteed high level of quality and comfort has been achieved.
