The beautiful stage of this event will be again  the spectacular route from Bormio along the “Strada Imperiale” (Imperial Road) to the Stelvio Pass, and will be organized by Mapei, Banca Popolare di Sondrio, Pirovano and Unione Sportiva Bormiese. 

The event consists of four different races: 

- an agonistic foot race, the so-called "half marathon", restricted to Fidal members or Sport Club members,
- an agonistic bike race - the famous "Re Stelvio" - a cycle rally, open to everybody, accompanied by ex-athletes of the Mapei and other famous sportsmen,
- a foot race open to everybody and
- a ski-roll race (restricted to members).
