The Valley Museum of Valfurva exhibits a valuable collection of traditional objects and reconstructions of natural settings and typical work scenes from the past in Valfurva
The museum, set up anew only a few years ago in S. Antonio - Forba Square, has an exhibition of valuable traditional objects and enchanting reconstructions of typical interiors from the country homes of Valfurva, as well as a dairy equipped with all the equipment needed for milking, a mill, and reconstructions of the cobbler’s and carpenter’s workshops. The remaining parts of the museum document the work done on the land, means of transport, housework, school life, sacred art, religion and costumes.
The old mill used for milling rye and the wood fire oven for baking bread are both of great interest. There are also sections dedicated to the First World War and the alpinism, which are full of artefacts that evoke episodes from history that touched this valley and the lives of its inhabitants.
Opening hours:
The museum will be open on request for min. 10 persons
